IMU (Imposta Municipale Propria) is due by anyone who owns property in Italy, including non-residents and foreign nationals. It applies to second homes, holiday homes, garages, commercial premises and agricultural land.

How do I calculate IMU as a non-resident?

What is the Rendita Catastale?

IMU is paid in two instalments: the advance payment (acconto) by 16 June and the balance (saldo) by 16 December each year.
